WESTCHESTER REAL ESTATE, INC.
Gail is the Executive Director for Westchester Real Estate, Inc., a consortium of independently owned real estate brokerages in Westchester & Putnam Counties in NY. Gail’s role is to provide critical support services to these independent real estate companies under the Westchester Real Estate, Inc. umbrella, allowing them to pool their resources, share ideas, work collaboratively, and excel in their respective market areas.
She was integral to the founding of the organization and has served in her current position of executive director since the group’s inception in 2003. She began her real estate career in 1987, and has at various times filled the roles of office manager, advertising coordinator, business consultant, event planner, key negotiator, and relocation director.
Prior to her career in real estate, Gail was a licensed Veterinary Technician, working in animal hospitals in Manhattan, upstate NY and Westchester County. Her love of animals and concern for their welfare still holds a special place in her life, and influences her charitable giving.
Gail contributes a great deal of time and her professional expertise to volunteering at the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors. She has served on the Executive Board as Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer. She has or currently chairs or sits on numerous committees including Education Council, Outreach, Member Services, Fair Housing & Cultural Diversity, Communications Council, Broker/Owner/Manager Committee, and Finance, as well as in Directors positions for NYSAR and NAR. She has also been instrumental in creating the current format for HGAR’s annual Members’ Day and chaired its big annual fundraiser for many years, “Hope for the Homeless”.
Personally, Gail volunteers for events and raises funds for The Bridge Fund of Westchester (helping to prevent homelessness for working-poor families experiencing short-term crises, www.thebridgefund.org ), Back-to-School Clothes for Kids (supplying new school clothes and supplies for needy Westchester children, www.backtoschoolclothes.org ) the SPCA of Westchester, www.spca914.org ), Adopt-A-Dog (www.adopt-a-dog.org), and the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org ).
